Today I took delivery of my brand new Stryker Blue 2009 Pontiac G8 GT. Let the mods begin!

Baseline dyno runs on Precision Motorsports of Florida's Dynocom dyno showed 303 rear wheel horsepower and 326 torque. I took the G8 down to Brandenton Motorsports Park for some basline quarter mile runs. My best 60 foot time was a 2.0 and my best quarter mile time was 13.8 at 100 miles per hour.

I ordered a few Pedders parts and they came in the other day. My goal is to stiffen up the suspension a little. The suspension is already pretty good on the G8; however, I knew that the Pedders bushes would make the suspension even better. We've got a 2006 Dodger Charger R/T shop car that the Pedders Track II Suspension kit made a huge difference on.
I had Kyle, one of our service technicians, install the parts today. The first parts are differential mounts (PN EP1167 - retail $108.36) and the second part I purchased is the Rear eXtreme Sub Frame Connector Kit (PN EP1169 - Retail $238.99). Adding the Pedders sub frame connector inserts to a G8 completely changes the character of the vehicle. The installation of these inserts allows the vehicle to become significantly more predictible during aggressive maneuvers. I will be adding more Pedders parts in the future.

My FTI Torque Converter arrived and has been installed by Kyle. I chose a 3600 stall. Pricing on this unit is $849 retail. We've started carrying this product on our website at an introductory rate of $789 shipped. Fitment was excellent and I cannot wait to get the G8 to the track again to see if there are any improvements with the new suspension parts and the torque converter. Check back next week for my trap times.

After multiple track closures at Bradenton Motorsports Park, I finally made it down to the track this evening only to find that they had closed it yet again due to the weather. Funny thing is, it's beautiful outside this evening. We will be waiting until next week to see what I put down.

It's been over a month since my first vehicle modifications and I finally made it to the track and got some updated numbers. A few weeks ago I purchased two 18" drag radials for better grip on the track. My new best 60 foot time was a 1.7 (compared to stock at 2.0) and my best quarter mile time was 13.0 at 103 miles per hour (compared to stock at 13.8 and 100 miles per hour).

We've been up to something. More details to follow, soon.

Upcoming mods include the New Era Performance Over the Radiator Air Intake, a ported Intake Manifold and a ported Throttle Body. Also, I'll have new results on the on-going dyno tuning that has been occuring on my vehicle. Stay tuned!
All installed parts you see in my blog are available through our on-line store or by calling the shop at (727) 233-1195. We can ship parts or do the installs here!
